Become a Nipper Safety Assistant

WFS-144.jpg

Can you swim 50m? Help out!

Nipper Safety Assistants provide additional water safety during Nippers sessions to our U6, U7 and U8 age groups, when surf conditions are low risk (almost always at Hampton).

You'll only be asked to go into waist-deep water.

What's required

In less than an hour, you will:

  • Learn how to help someone with a yellow rescue tube

  • Learn hand signals for letting the patrol and others know if there's an issue or if everything is okay

  • Swim 50m in waist-deep water (any stroke, untimed)

  • Tread water for 2 minutes

Then you can put on a red Nipper Safety rashie and hang out with your kids!
