New Member—How to Join
The first step in joining HLSC or enrolling in the Nippers program is to send a copy of Working with Children Check (WWCC) cards for all adults in the family to membership@hlsc.org.au. Our volunteers will walk you through the rest of the signup process.
Don't have a WWCC card?
It's free and easy to apply, but processing can take while. Start early, so your children don't miss any sessions!

Who needs a WWCC card?
All members 18+, including all Nipper parents, must hold a valid WWCC card, including police officers and teachers who do not have a VIT card. If you have a VIT card, you may link your registration to WWCC and provide us a photo of your VIT card. (The LSV policy is being updated. See current LSV policy here, section 6.2.2).

2026-2027 Membership Fees
Hampton Life Saving Club is affiliated with Get Active Victoria and TeamSports4All, which cover costs so no child has to miss out. Reach out to secretary@hlsc.org.au with vouchers or questions.
Nipper Family Membership
All Nippers must be a part of a family membership and add appropriate per-nipper fees.
$300 Family membership; Includes all dependants through age 25
Plus $40 per Nipper
Starfish Family Membership
$250 Starfish family membership
Plus $40 per Starfish
Family Membership
$300 Includes all dependants through age 25
Single-Parent Households
Family membership fees are reduced to $200 for families in which there is only one adult in the home. Unfortunately, we have to manage this on an individual basis, so please email secretary@hlsc.org.au
Individual Memberships
$100 Individual age 15+
Reduced Fees by Board Invitation
Families who actively contribute to running the club by patrolling 16+ hours, as Age Group Managers or Starfish Mentors, heading up committees or volunteering in other capacities may qualify for 20% off membership fees. Please pitch in to qualify for the discount next year!
