The Committee of Management enforce the following additional requirements:
- Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES may 'ONE SENIOR MEMBER to ONE YOUTH MEMBER' training occur. (Senior member is defined as over 18 years old, Youth member is defined as under 18 years old).
- If there is only ONE SENIOR trainer available on a scheduled training session – Training MAY be cancelled for that session.
- ANY training outside the specified hours (TUESDAY 7pm - 8:30pm) must be advised to the Committee (0412 201 152) (secretary@hlsc.org.au) and/or the Youth and Leadership Development Manager (yld@hlsc.org.au) a minimum of 48 hours prior to the commencement of the proposed training.
- Lifesaving Victoria has reviewed the State Membership Protection Policy (link as per above). The HLSC Committee of Management require ALL Committee Members, Patrol Captains, Trainers and Nipper age group coordinators to complete and submit the WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK.
This policy will be updated as further information is released from Lifesaving Victoria inline with the Working With Children Act 2005 and Working With Children Regulations 2006.
