Working With Children
At Hampton Life Saving Club we require all Active members over the age of 18 to undertake a Working With Children (WWC) check, in line with State Government Legislation.
The WWC check is designed to help keep children safe. It aims to prevent people who may pose a risk to the safety of children from working with them.
At HLSC we have over 350 children involved in our Nippers program. We require all Age Group Managers, Water Safety Officers, Board and Committee members, patrolling members (over 18 years of age) and other Active members to undergo the check. However, we encourage all adult members of the club to undergo the check. As volunteers, it is free.
Application forms are available from the Club Office or from participating Australia Post outlets. Forms are lodged at Australia Post, however, you may need to make an appointment.
